Bangkok – The Prime Minister says he is very pleased that an average 70,000 people a day have been using the Bearing-Samut Prakan Green Line Skytrain extension, confirming his government’s desire to develop the nation’s transport systems further.
The line was opened on December 6 for a four month trial run and the PM reportedly remarked that the high number of users shows the public sees the importance of transport connections.
Over the past four years the government has seen two Skytrain extensions begin service; the Bang Yai-Tao Poon Purple Line, which averages 60,000 users each day, and the Bearing-Samut Prakan Green Line. Lines pending include the yellow, orange and pink lines.
