The general election will be taking place nationwide on Sunday 24th March, but for those who are unable to vote that day early voting took place around the country a week earlier on the seventeenth.
The Redemptorist Technological College for People with Disabilities was one location in Pattaya where a long line formed early morning with students, past and present, lining up to vote.
The disability lobby is big, loud and influential. Politicians are well aware that people living with a disability will no longer be easily influenced. They don’t want to hear promises, they want to see action. No longer will they be treated as inferior and as second class citizens, today they want, demand, to be treated as equals in society. Politicians should be suitably warned that broken and forgotten promises will not be overlooked.
