Budding beauticians compete on looks in Pattaya

About 240 budding hair stylists, makeup artists and beauticians competed for four dozen prizes at the Farah Blow Dry Hair beauty competition in Pattaya.

Saowanee Panasorn, deputy secretary of the Board of Education Promotion for Private Sector, and Wichai Puangpakeesiri, director of the Education Department Chonburi Region 3, joined other education officials in opening the July 28 contest at the Diana Garden Resort.

The competition was held by the Private Education Commission to boost vocational skills in non-formal education school focusing on beauty subjects. The participants won 58 medals and three trophies.

The event, judged by 50 beauty teachers from around Thailand, also saw students who passed their training courses receive certificates and the Beauty School Association and the Tailors Association sign a cooperation agreement.

The day’s top winner was Khay Bounkeuth from Jutha­mas Beauty School, with Nattakitsada Prayongsuk from Pakakai Siam Beauty School coming in second and Wilai Wannasuk form Kedsiri Pattaya International Beauty School third.
