British Chamber (BCCT), American Chamber (AmCham), Australian Chamber (AustCham), and South African Chamber (SATCC) met with German Chamber (GTCC) at Dicey Reilly’s Pub, with GTCC being hosts for evening.
The event was well attended with a reported 80 people through door. Ensuring everything went smoothly, John Manley, director of F&B of Pattaya Marriott Resort and Spa, and Mittana Chamoyklang, account sales manager at Marriott, were seen circulating amongst chambers’ members.

As it was GTCC’s turn to host evening, president of the German Chamber Phongsakdi Chakshuvej was also mingling. In an exclusive interview on PMTV Phongsakdi revealed that the GTCC rotates the position of president each year with a Thai national and a German national alternating. Other notables in the German group were Jeffrey Gaudiano, new MD of BMW Manufacturing and Rainer Rössler whose business card shows that he is senior panhandler in his organization.

As is always case, these joint chamber meetings are graced with some wonderful young ladies with Sumalee Marasri (Asian Tigers), Janya Ratanaliam and Suree Bunpluk (Bangkok Hospital Pattaya), Chananchida Wongsa-ard (Holiday Inn), and Jum Inok and Nok Chankam (Hard Rock Hotel) flitting about and exchanging business cards, which is what networking nights are all about.
One of the sponsors of the evening was Hemaraj with its CEO David Nardone and Judy Benn (AmCham) seen chatting to fellow American George Strampp who is on his way to his Italian furlough.
Amongst the Australian contingent was David Chuter (Futuris) returning to Oz in chains, and Frank Holzer (GM) refusing to go to Oz, while the British fielded a strong side with BCCT President Simon Matthews of Manpower and floral shirt fame, Mark Butters (RSM), Board Member Chris Thatcher, Mark Bowling (Colliers International) and David Cumming (Onyx) down for weekend, relocating to Amari Watergate.
Graham MacDonald (MBE) still holding reins of the Seth Efrikken Chamber and discussing some half-decent wines with South African wine promoter Allan Riddell, consultant to the Board of South African Trade Promotion.
