With the new Hilton Pattaya having had its opening in time for the high season, the marketing team followed that up with a cocktail party last week to show off the facility and its capabilities.
With this new property being on Beach Road and high above the Central World shopping center offering views of Pattaya Bay from every one of the 302 suites, the wave and ocean theme predominates through the architectural design. Clever use of patterns in the carpets gives the appearance of gentle waves, and intelligent use of water areas around some of the bars heightens the ocean ambience. Large loungers are set in the middle of these ‘pools’, with stepping stones leading to them.

Natural wood is in abundance and sand colored marble maintains the effect. Even the cushions are designed to look like rocks smoothed by countless years of lapping waves. The architects have done a wonderful job at maintaining the effect all through the property.
We were looked after by Chatchada Lephon (Fon) during the grand tour and then during cocktails all the senior staff came to make our acquaintance. GM Harald Feurstein has assembled a very professional team, and there is no doubting the fact that the Hilton Pattaya is a very welcome addition to the upper echelon of Pattaya hotels.
And the Edge? It is simply one of the five stunning Hilton’s food outlets, adding to the culinary pleasures that are available at the Hilton Pattaya.
Dare I say that the only possible overlooked item could be the non-appearance of Paris? Not that the Hilton Pattaya needs her!
