PSC Annual Christmas Party at Town in Town on Dec. 10 was another great success with over 400 members and guests attending.

The doors opened shortly before 18:30 hrs and tables were quickly filled. The very efficient Town in Town staff soon had a drink in every hand.  There was the usual buzz of old friends meeting up again, many who only meet up again once or twice a year at these Sports Club parties.

By 19:00 hrs things were settling down and we were given a great Christmas Carol treat, in English, by the very well turned out children from Pattaya Orphanage. This mini concert is always well received by everyone, and was well emceed by Paul Strachan.

Acting PSC Social Chairperson Noi Emerson then gave a welcoming speech and the buffet was opened.  An excellent assortment of Thai & European foods was laid out in a very professional manner and the lines moved quite well with minimum hold ups.

Around 19:45 hrs Tara Pattana International School students put on a display of Thai traditional dancing followed by a beautiful ballet performance by Cassidy, another of Tara Pattana’s talented students. Well done all of you.

PSC President Peter Malhotra presented a bouquet Radchada Chomjinda (Toy) Director of HHN Foundation Thailand and Inter-Country Adoption Pattaya Orphanage to thank her for her love and tirelessly caring for the children of our community.

He said, “I commend the organising committee for having done a superb job. The PSC Christmas party is turning out to be a roaring success. Ticket sales have surpassed all expectations. I can assure you that our next parties will be even better and more enjoyable for our members, their families and guests.”

Live music from the Town in Town band kept feet tapping, and shortly after 21:00 hrs the lucky draw for PSC members’ tickets was conducted by our VP Joe Mooneyham. A dozen or so prizes were given out.

The ever popular Barry Upton came on at 21:20 hrs and soon had the people dancing and singing along to a great variety of oldies we never get tired off.  Good show Barry.

The lovely Lewiinski’s girls did a wonderful job of selling all the raffle tickets, not a single ticket went unsold, and the raffle was drawn shortly after 22:00 hrs.  Many prizes were won, including a Roundtrip airplane ticket to Chiang Mai jointly donated by Massic Travel and Thai Airways International.

The grand prize was a 1 baht gold necklace.

Barry came back on stage and got the people rocking with help from the Town in Town band. They just did not want to stop dancing, but finally at 23:45 hrs, last orders were called and the party started to wind down.
