Praises of regional cultures sung at Pattaya show

The Pattaya Music Association highlighted the cultures of Thailand’s four regions at the Eastern Indoor National Sports Arena.

Pattaya city councilor Saksit Yamsri opened the July 29 “Inheritance of Thai cultures and music from the four regions” event at the Soi Chaiyapruek 2 arena, organized by the city, music association and Lions Club Pattaya-Taksin.

The event hoped to raise awareness among youths about their culture and encourage them to participate in preserving it.

The show featured performances of Thai culture and arts from the East, North, Central and Northeast regions, including shows by Pattaya public school students.

There was also an applied social dance by the Royal Navy Musical Band, performances from Pattaya Music Association members, a Thai costume contest and demonstrations by the Pattaya Housewife Volunteers, Pattaya Women’s Development Group, and various community organizations.
