A generous benefactor donated 220,000 baht in cash and equipment to the Nongprue Dialysis Center to help reduce local incidence of kidney disease and diabetes.

The donor, Chen Buaeim, said the goal of the cash donation was to develop further the knowledge and abilities of community health volunteers to educate the Pattaya-area public about diseases that could lead to requiring dialysis.
The donation also included an oxygen generator.
Many of those volunteers attended the Nov. 21 meeting at the Nongprue Sub-district office where Nurse Urailak Chaiyanit spoke about prevention of diabetes and high blood pressure.
She told the volunteers to advocate to their neighborhoods the benefits of eating properly and at regular hours and regular exercise, especially among the elderly.
