Deputy Mayor of Pattaya, Manot Nongyai, chaired a meeting to finalize traffic management plans for the upcoming Pattaya Trail Running event on August 13. The meeting, held in Room 242 at Pattaya City Hall, included senior officials from Pattaya City, external agencies, and relevant personnel. Mr. Gachakorn Timtieng, the Race Director, presented the event’s format and logistics.

Organized by Pattaya City’s Tourism and Sports Office in collaboration with the Pattaya Running Association, the 2nd Pattaya Trail Running event is scheduled for Sunday, August 18, 2024, at the Blue Activity Area, Bali Hai Pier, Pattaya, Chonburi. The event aims to promote sports tourism in Pattaya and elevate the standards of trail running competitions to international levels.

The race features three distances: 10 km, 5 km, and 3 km, with over 2,000 runners expected to participate. To ensure safety and smooth operations, a complete road closure will be in effect from the Blue Activity Area at Bali Hai Pier up to Phra Tamnak Hill, including the checkpoint near the helicopter parking area. Relevant agencies have been coordinated to station personnel at key points, and two parking areas have been designated—Pattaya City School No. 8 and Wat Chaimongkol (with shuttle services)—to facilitate participants.

This event supports the city’s goals of promoting sports tourism and enhancing Pattaya’s reputation as a Sports City. It aligns with the four objectives and 15 policies of the Pattaya City Mayor, focusing on improving the quality of life for Pattaya residents, particularly in health and accessibility, while prioritizing public benefit and enhancing Pattaya’s image.
