Chonburi Governor supports frontline workers during New Year holiday rush in Pattaya

Governor Thawatchai inspects service and safety checkpoints in Pattaya, including ferries and bus stations, to ensure a secure and smooth travel experience for both locals and tourists during the festive season.

PATTAYA, Thailand – Chonburi Governor Thawatchai Srithong, accompanied by government officials and relevant agencies, visited several service and safety checkpoints in Bang Lamung District to ensure smooth and secure transportation for both road and water travelers during the New Year period December 29. The visit included inspections at key locations such as Big C South Pattaya, Laem Bali Hai Pier, Koh Larn Pier, and Pattaya Northern Bus Station.


Governor Thawatchai focused on the safety of passenger ferries and speedboats, stressing the importance of life jackets for all passengers and ensuring that boats do not exceed the authorized passenger limits. The governor also expressed his confidence in the preparation of these service points for the influx of both local and international tourists, especially those heading to Koh Larn to celebrate the New Year.

In a gesture of support, the governor distributed energy drinks and bottled water to the workers on duty, offering encouragement for their continued service during the busy period. Additionally, an MOU was signed to further enhance safety measures for both tourists and their belongings during the holiday season.
