Chidsanapong Sawadeeworachot turned from being golf pro to crispy pork seller when he lost strength in his legs and had to use a wheelchair.

A former pro golfer is now teeing up crispy pork after poor health forced him to retire from the sport.
Chidsanapong Sawadeeworachot played golf for a living for 35 years but progressively lost strength in his legs and now must use a wheelchair.

His energetic spirit persisted, however, and Chidsanapong started his own business selling his special-recipe crispy pork, which he developed while working as a chef earlier in life.
Chidsanapong affectionately known as “Pro Ko” said he started out selling less than 10 kilograms of pork a day until he was featured on a social media channel. He now sells up to 40 kilograms a day.

The deep-fried pork is available from 5 p.m. daily at the Jomtien Big Market next to Soi 16.
