Songkran’s not over till Pattaya splashes—get ready for Wan Lai madness this April 18-19!

PATTAYA, Thailand – If you think Songkran is over after April 15, think again—Pattaya is just getting started! The city’s famous extended water festival, known as Wan Lai, will take place on April 18 and 19, turning the streets into one giant water party that locals and visitors look forward to all year.

April 18 is Wan Lai Naklua and Wan Lai Bang Phra, where the local communities come together for traditional ceremonies in the morning followed by epic water battles in the afternoon.

Then on April 19, it’s the main event—Wan Lai Pattaya, when Beach Road transforms into a full-on water war zone with music stages, DJs, and thousands of revelers dancing and splashing from afternoon until sundown.

Locals are already buzzing with excitement. Social media posts are flying with comments like: “Where are all the Pattaya folks going to play for Wan Lai?” and “Even if you’re not ready, we are!”

It’s clear that Pattaya is pumped and ready. Whether you’re a first-timer or a Wan Lai veteran, don’t forget to bring your water guns, wear bright colors, and most importantly—stay safe. With all the fun, it’s still vital to be responsible on the roads and off, especially since water splashing often happens right next to busy traffic.

Pattaya authorities are reminding everyone to travel safely, avoid drinking and driving, and wear helmets if you’re riding a motorcycle. As Pol. Col. Anek Sarathongyu said earlier this week: “Most Songkran accidents involve motorcycles—we just want everyone to get home safe.”

So mark your calendars, stock up on waterproof gear, and get ready to join in Thailand’s most joyful (and soaking wet) celebration. And hey—if you’ve got a favorite water war zone or meet-up spot in Pattaya, drop a comment and let the fun begin!

Ready, set, splash! Pattaya’s biggest water fight hits full force this April 18-19 for Wan Lai!
