PATTAYA, Thailand – On Saturday, March 23, the central promenade of Pattaya Beach morphed into a kaleidoscope of vibrant hues, echoing with laughter and music. It was the Holi Festival Pattaya 2024, an event that brought together locals and tourists in a jubilant celebration of spring’s arrival and cultural unity.



The Holi Festival, steeped in Indian tradition, is often referred to as the Festival of Colours. It is a time-honoured celebration that transcends borders, symbolizing the victory of good over evil and the advent of rejuvenation with the onset of spring. Pattaya Beach served as the picturesque canvas for this joyous occasion, with participants gleefully showering each other with organic collared powders, painting the town in a myriad of hues.

Accompanying the colourful revelry were sumptuous feasts and lively music, creating an ambiance of pure jubilation. Mayor Poramet Ngampichet, in collaboration with the Chairman of the Thai-Indian Business Association Pattaya, graced the event’s opening ceremony, extending warm greetings to attendees from both Indian and Thai communities.



The festival’s itinerary was as diverse as its attendees, featuring cultural performances and concerts showcasing artists from India. Traditional rituals added a touch of spirituality to the festivities, as devotees paid homage to Hindu deities like Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesha, and Goddess Mahakali, seeking blessings for prosperity and success.
