Mayor Sonthaya Kunplome issued a letter on May 27 stating that due to the ongoing threat of the Covid-19 pandemic and risk of spreading the virus in Chonburi and Pattaya, the Pattaya International Marathon scheduled for 17-18 July 2021 is cancelled.
