Dr. Ren Lexander, PhD, provides to his PCEC audience recommendations on how to achieve long-term health and vitality through proper diet and exercise.

PATTAYA, Thailand – On Wednesday, January 22, 2025, the Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) had the pleasure of welcoming a presentation by one of their members, Ren Lexander, PhD. Ren, who is well-regarded for his efforts in organizing weekly speakers for the club, graciously stepped in to share his personal journey and insights on aging.

Ren began his talk by emphasizing the importance of preparedness and openness to new experiences. He shared his belief that “good luck happens when opportunity meets preparedness,” and encouraged the audience to approach life with an open mind.

Throughout his presentation, Ren recounted various health challenges he faced over the years, including glandular fever, kidney stones, and sun-related skin issues. He highlighted the significance of maintaining a healthy diet and lifestyle, and the impact of stress on overall well-being. Ren also discussed the benefits of alternative health practices such as chiropractic care, foot reflexology, and Tai Chi. He credited these practices with helping him achieve better health and manage stress effectively.

One of the key takeaways from Ren’s presentation was the importance of regular health check-ups and being proactive about one’s health. He also highlighted the importance of exercise, including jogging, weightlifting, and high-intensity interval training (HIIT) for maintaining physical health.  He stressed the significance of a balanced diet, including protein intake and avoiding certain foods like modern wheat and excessive chilies.

Ren mentioned the benefits of alternative therapies such as static contraction for muscle building, ProArgi-9 for nitric oxide production, and stem cell supplements for back pain. Further, Ren recommended regular skin cancer checks and using sunscreen to prevent skin damage.

He shared personal anecdotes about how early detection and timely intervention helped him overcome several health issues. His presentation was not only informative but also inspiring, leaving attendees with valuable insights on how to age gracefully and maintain a positive outlook on life.

After the presentations, MC George Wilson brought everyone up to date on upcoming events. This was followed by the Open Forum portion of the meeting where the audience can ask questions or make comments about Expat living in Thailand, especially Pattaya.
