PATTAYA, Thailand – On Tuesday, December 10, the Mabprachan Golf Society enjoyed a stunning day at the Plutaluang Golf Course, tackling the South and East loops under clear blue skies and a refreshing breeze. The course conditions were excellent, with well-maintained greens adding to the challenge of this notoriously tricky layout.

The day’s standout performance came from Seamus O’Connor, who ended his year on a high note by carding an impressive 41 Stableford points, securing first place. Hot on his heels was Mike Mallot, recently returned to Pattaya, who finished just one point behind with 40 points. Despite the competitive atmosphere, Willem Lasonder earned the “spoon” for his efforts. Near pins were claimed by Bob Edwards, Seamus O’Connor, and Mike Mallot. Results: 1st: Seamus O’Connor (24) – 41 points. 2nd: Mike Mallot (36) – 40 points.



On December 12, the Society headed to Eastern Star Golf Course for Thursday’s round, greeted by overcast skies and a gentle breeze. While the course was in fine condition, the day proved challenging, with tricky greens making putting a struggle for many.

In a tightly contested match, Steve Sturley emerged victorious with 35 Stableford points, narrowly edging out Bob Edwards, who finished one point behind with 34. A crucial bogey on the final hole sealed Steve’s win. Meanwhile, Maurice Paradis claimed the “spoon,” and Bob Edwards demonstrated precision with three near pins. Results: 1st: Steve Sturley (27) – 35 points. 2nd: Bob Edwards (11) – 34 points.
