Dear Sirs,
I saw a report by the WHO which stated that over three million people died last year as a result of drinking alcohol. I wonder if a survey was done to see the number of innocent people died or were disabled for life from the result of other people drinking alcohol and the number of people whose lives were ruined. I.e., as a result of drunk drivers and families where a person had a serious drink problem and the numbers were compared to the numbers of innocent people who died or whose lives were ruined by the effect of secondary smoke, which number would be the greater? I would hazard a guess that the number who died and certainly the number who were maimed for life or the number whose lives were ruined by family violence, etc., by drinking alcohol would by far exceed the number effected by smokers.
