Greetings – having holidayed in Pattaya for the last 25+ years I must comment on my recent trip and visit to the once beautiful Koh Larn. We caught the ferry at 9am and set off through the sea filled with large amounts of floating rubbish to arrive at the once beautiful island. I had noticed the constant stream of speed boats transporting many tourists to the island and was very shocked to see these boats disembarking their passengers right in front of the main seating and swimming areas. On sitting down on the rented beach chairs, 3 of our group decided to go for a swim in one of the specially roped off swimming areas, only to find we were being covered in oil and petrol, coming from the large numbers of speed boats and jet skis. Another paradise lost, we packed up and left this once great island.
