Beware – baht bus drivers now demand 50 baht to any location along Beach Road. This has always been 30 baht until a few weeks ago. Tourists and expats who visit BKK frequently {as I do attending hospital treatment) are being taken for a ride! A driver pointed across the busy North Road and said get a bus over there for 10 baht. I wonder who allowed this increase – the town hall despite the new prime minister calls for a clean up of rip-offs or the ‘clan’ who run the bus station route? No signs to advise tourists!
