Baht not strong, other currencies weak

Re: Strong baht affecting tourism (PM Mailbag Friday, 06 February 2015) – If it were only 10%, yes. The ruble, and everyone knows that the Russians have been a huge tourist force in Pattaya, has lost 45% of its value here. That certainly makes a big difference in affordability. Also, the OP should not refer to the baht as being strong, but so many other countries currency being weak at the moment. I would certainly agree that Thailand has not spent itself into massive debt, as compared to other currencies in parts of the world, including the U.S.
