Re: Bidding begins on Pattaya Beach sand-refill project – (PM Friday, 27 June 2014) – To keep the beach it needs to be less abused. Too many umbrellas and vendors. Too many embarkation points for buses full of tourists who could be getting on boats at Bali Hai pier. This area is simply over used. Move certain of these activities to Na Jomtien.
Of course incorrect disposal of food leftovers by tourists and inadequate supply and collection of garbage are also important sources of the rat problem. Even so, rats are the last thing I worry about on Beach Road…there is so much else going on.
