Re: Pattaya Vegetarian Festival sizzles in opening (PM Friday, 03 October 2014) – Even though I am from California, I am not a vegetarian. I attended the festival this year and really enjoyed it. I thought they did a great job. I must say however, I would think that being a vegetarian implies “healthy food”. Each dish I tasted, and they were all good, contained more sugar than I use in a year. Also, the majority of food was deep-fat fried. I learned that here in Thailand, vegetarian means made with vegetables, and does not necessarily mean healthy.
