Coming out of Soi Buakaow on market day to Pattaya Tai I was not allowed to make a right turn; a gate and a policeman took care of that, so I went left waiting for the gate to end and then made a U-turn. Bad idea, because it cost me 600 baht. Did I have to drive all the way to Sukhumvit to make a U-turn there which also should not be allowed there?
The foreign police volunteer to whom I asked to listen to my story only could tell me: “When the police tell you to pay, you should pay.” Really a big help of much use.
