In November and December of last year I reported and your paper investigated and published the problems with this village regarding pipe breakage, shortage of water and drainage of rain water for a number of years.
After the investigation the utility in the area promised to do the work in a few months and started in Feb of this year. All work seem to be going fine although it seem to be taking forever. Even during the heat of the last few months the work, although slow, was being done. Then the last month the work stopped and was abandoned just when it seemed they only had one or two sois left to pour new concrete, because the old concrete was removed to put in new pipes.
For nearly a month and with the rains coming the job hasn’t been finished. Residents at many of the homes can’t get their vehicles into their homes and it is becoming very dangerous for the kids and everyone in the neighborhood.
Another problem has also developed: this village doesn’t have enough garbage cans throughout the neighborhood, but at least they came everyday like clockwork to pick up all the trash. The last few months I noticed less and less service, especially not coming on Saturday or Sunday. By the time they came Monday the trash now was already overflowing out of the containers and piles of trash were left outside of the containers. This allowed the dogs to tear through all the trash and create a mess of litter on the soi. Now I noticed they have gone from 2 days to as long as 4 days without any service, and when trash is picked up ,the surrounding area and the soi is full of trash which they make no attempt to clean up. Neighbors like myself have to do it. The area is a mess!
Who is in charge and responsible for this mess and when are things going to get better for the everyone living here? Personally the people in charge should be ashamed of themselves and quite!
