Re: Yet another jet ski scam leaves 2 Chinese students robbed, beaten (PM Friday, 27 April 2012) – I was a victim of the scam in August 2012 and I was demanded 10,000 baht, but negotiated it to 5000 baht. My hotel owner later said I am lucky to escape and that there was an Indian group who had to lose much more. I really feel bad for what happened to me. There was practically no damage to the boat, just a minute scratch which I believe is also manipulated. Seeing (this news story & comments on the web) reminded me of that bad luck day again.
