Re: It’s all in the positioning (PM Mailbag Friday, 09 October 2015) – How many of us have ever run down an animal? Be it a dog, a kangaroo or whatever, through a lack of concentration? After a few years driving we think we are “king of the road” then rear end some one because you were rubber necking an accident.
By having your GPS on the right of the dash (US left) your attention is drawn to that side. What if a child or J-walker steps out on the opposite side? You are in charge of a potential lethal machine. Added to this your forward vision is effected marginally.
Love your GPS to death but not at the cost of injury or death of another.
