RE: Google echoes Amazon’s Echo, opens new virtual-reality door (PM June 3, 2016) – “Google Home, for instance, will mostly do the same things already performed by the Echo, a cylinder-like speaker that Amazon released last year.”
I have to believe that the writer of this article, Mr. Liedtke, has not had much experience using the Amazon Echo. I have, and I find it frustrating to use because Alexa can’t answer 90% of the questions I pose to her, questions I then turn to Google to answer for me. I have longed for Google’s knowledge base tied to Amazon’s Echo technology. It sounds like Google is bringing it. Thank goodness!
