Re: Never heard of online banking? (PM Friday, 12 June 2015) – Dana it sounds like you are getting some pretty pedestrian type advice. I understand your statements about Thai attitudes but if you want to live here then accept their culture. It’s their country so roll with the punches. The anti foreigner attitude is diminishing, believe me. As more Thai students study overseas they bring back an enlightened attitude and realise that Thailand, beautiful that it is, does not have a mortgage on brains or know how.
Don’t rely on advice from “home”, wherever that is, about how to conduct your life in Thailand.
If you really want an “I don’t trust you” experience go and live in New York for a while. Thailand is lily white by comparison.
