Editor;
I read with some amusement poor Richy’s letter last week, March 28 ‘Where is the logic?’ If you have been living in the Thepprasit Road area of Jomtien for twelve years Richy and you can still seriously ask a question like that, my deepest sympathy goes out to you!
You will remember when they started on the Thappraya road works long before they started negotiating with the owners of the land needed for the widening, and eventually on to the 2nd Road extension, I mean, why get that sorted before starting on the project?
Of course the road foundations are abysmal and constant work is needed to fill in potholes. Why do a job properly in the beginning so no maintenance is needed, thus depriving the maintenance crews a job for life!
If everyone had enough water, what would happen to the water truck operators?
Get real Richy and appreciate living in Thailand for what it is, not what you would like it to be.
That old adage ‘Be careful what you wish for, it might just come true’ springs to mind.
Sincere regards, also living in Thappraya Road, Jomtien for fourteen years, and loving every minute of the chaos.
