Re: Democrat Party to seek court annulment of snap polls – In reply to: Michael Mazur & Peter Abbott (PM Monday, 03 February 2014) – Michael, you are absolutely right but who would elect Suthep to be the head of the People’s Council, just the yellow shirts? Ignore the rest of the Thai Population? That isn’t Democracy it’s dictatorship! If I was Yingluck I would arrest him for treason in that he has taken illegal steps against the royal decree ordering the election. That should shut him up for the next 20 years or so!
The Thais in Bangkok are not the whole of Thailand. Democracy means that the majority form a government. It’s rather like the Liberal/Democrats in England trying to impose minority rule. Anyway, the leader of the protesters has a murder charge hanging over him for authorisng the killing of 90 red shirts in the last coup; obviously a nasty rabble rouser.
