7 August 2013 – We were in Pattaya a couple of days this past week from Korat where we live. Along the Jomtien Beach near Silver Sand Villa at 97 Moo 12, I happened to almost fracture my toe on a concrete post stub hidden in the beach sand. Small problem. The larger issue was being given a firm electric shock when I leaned up against a light pole nearby to balance myself so I could clean sand from my feet. I have written to the mayor about this, but what is being done with the local and foreign community there to ensure more safety on the Jomtien beaches for all?
