Nongprue got 2016 off to a better start for 11 sub-district residents, handing out 22,000 baht in welfare payments.
Mayor Mai Chaiyanit distributed the stipends of 2,000 baht from the Social Security Fund to needy families in a ceremony also attended by municipal council members.
Nongprue Mayor Mai Chaiyanit presents 2,000 baht cash each to 11 families to help with their everyday expenses.
Recipients were: Natakorn Kaimook, Prawet Noktawee, Fathima Saemalee, Samart Saeguay, Sompet Biewjo, Sirinthip Waruka, Wanida Chaimeekiew, Sontaya Kaekanok, Viroj Kamolwanit, Buanoon Poromanee, and Rapeeporn Kornsawat.
The cash donated is intended for rice, cooking supplies and household items. Similar donations will take place regularly in accordance to the Nongprue Social Security Department after residents are chosen.
