Fifteen people were arrested when authorities raided two underground casinos in Pattaya and Jomtien Beach.
In addition to the arrested gamblers, police, soldiers and Banglamung District officials also found three computers, gambling equipment and cash in the rental room with no number in Rompho Market in Jomtien Beach and a commercial building on Soi Bongkot in central Pattaya.
Officials called the raids only partially successful, saying news of the operations must have leaked because some suspects had fled, taking evidence with them before officers arrived.
