Pattaya doctors brought Sinopharm to 18-30-year-old residents Tuesday as the city continues to dispense the 100,000 doses of Chinese coronavirus vaccine.

Mayor Sonthaya Kunplome and Dr. Petcharat Sae-Wong of Pattaya Hospital, along with nurses, administered the jabs Sept. 14 at the Pattaya Orphanage.

Sonthaya said the recipients are at high risk of contracting Covid-19 or have difficulty traveling. So the city brought the syringes to them.

The Pattaya Orphanage currently has 160 children under its care. More than 50 percent of orphanage executives have received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, but only 10 percent have gotten two.
