PATTAYA – Banglamung authorities and Pattaya police arrested 19 people in raids on a pub and karaoke club operating after hours.

Assistant District Chief Rattadol Limhan led police and soldiers to the Bern Club on Soi Buakhao around 4:30 a.m. April 11 where a “no arrest for drinking” party was being held.

Six women and a man tested positive for drug use including the event’s deejay, Kannika “DJ Katoy” Namwicha, 24. Police say she confessed to using ketamine three days ago.

Also arrested was manager Anapat Reuang-U-Rai, 50. He was charged with operating past legal closing time, offering entertainment without a license and selling alcohol after hours.

After 5 a.m. the squad moved to Longmase Karaoke on Third Road which also was still open and playing loud music, annoying the neighbors.

Drug tests found 11 people positive. They and manager Jeerasak Sornkla, 35, were arrested.

Charges for operating and serving alcohol after hours were filed along with citations for drug paraphernalia found in the staff room.
