Two Pattaya men have been arrested for assaulting an Iranian man they allege was messing around with one of their wives.
The arrest of Eakchai Boonraksa, 33, and Prawat Taprasit, 32, came after a short video clip of the attack on Seyed Chavoosh Shojaei was posted online. The Iranian was abducted after being beat up, but managed to escape and find his way back to Pattaya to file a police report.
The incident took place outside a no-name swimwear shop on Soi 15 in South Pattaya.
Police said Prawat got his friend to join him in attacking the Iranian because he had been hitting on Prawat’s girlfriend. They took him to Prawat’s home town in Samut Prakan Province, where he was arrested.
Eakchai was captured in Pattaya. Both were charged with kidnapping and assault.
