A woman and child were killed and three injured when their driver likely fell asleep behind the wheel in Pong.
Front-seat passengers Radeewan Sungserth, 32, and nephew Theerapat, 4, died when her husband Phithak, 32, drove their Chevrolet RVO into a tree on Highway 36 in Klongyai Jan. 5. Phithak and back-seat passengers Orawee Khamto, 27, Ratchadaporn Wannavijin, 27, were injured. Trapped in the vehicle, rescue crews needed to cut them from the vehicle before transport to Banglamung Hospital.
