Two drunk foreigners were beaten in two separate bar fights on the same night in Pattaya.

Briton Leonard Casa, 70, filed a report with police around 3:30 a.m. March 3, saying he was assaulted at a beer bar in New Plaza on Soi Buakhao, leaving him with a black eye.

Casa said he got in an argument with the bar owner and was set upon by a foreigner friend of the Thai boss. He was treated at Pattaya Memorial Hospital.

Shortly after Casa left Pattaya Police Station, German David Peter, 49, came to say he too had been beat up at a different Soi Buakhao bar. He said violence broke out when he insisted on watching television there, but the bar staff said the pub was closed.

He admitted he was drunk and used foul language before a Thai owner of an adjacent bar bottled him.
