Two men were arrested for allegedly getting a 19-year-old woman drunk and then gang raping her with three other suspects still on the run.
Chanatip Wisedhom, 26, and Itthiphol Dejboon, 33, were captured after running naked from the room of the victim at Prima Place on Soi Kophai Nov. 21.
Covered in tattoos with facials scars from previous fights, the two were allegedly accused by neighbors of being local gangsters who had been drinking downstairs with three fellow gang members and the woman, plying her with alcohol.
Both Itthiphol Dejboon (left) and Chanatip Wisedhom (right) were beaten by local residents before police arrived to arrest them for their involvement in a gang rape of a teenage girl.
A building resident later saw the woman staggering into her room with the men and worried she was in danger. He peeked inside the room and said he saw the five men assaulting the incapacitated teen. He grabbed a friend and the two broke into the room to break up the attack. The five gang members all fled without their clothes.
Police and rescuers arrived to find the woman naked and traumatized on the bed, condoms scattered around the room.
The two suspects detained claimed the victim had offered to have sex with all five men. But given the victim’s state, the suspects’ previous criminal convictions, and witness reports, police were dubious.
