Two people were hurt and two vehicles damaged when a pickup truck carrying a hydrogen tank burst into flames.
Steel contractor Somporn Sonthithum, 41, suffered a leg wound Jan. 8 when his Isuzu D-Max became engulfed in fire on Sukhumvit Road near the Highway 7 overpass in Naklua.
Firefighters took 30 minutes to extinguish the blaze, which Somporn said started after a valve broke off a tank of hydrogen used in steel processing.

Khamron Wanprasert, 59, driver of a second truck travelling alongside Somporn in traffic, sustained a minor injury when the explosion also hit his truck. Khamron’s Toyota Hilux suffered fire damage.
