Two transvestites were arrested for allegedly snatching a gold chain from the neck of an Indian tourist.
Massanan Pengwichai, 27, and Laotian Boonsorn Somsaksri, 30, were taken into custody at their apartment on Soi Photisan 5 Sept. 6. The gold necklace was recovered.
Police said the unidentified Indian man reported that his chain was taken by two ladyboys who approached him on a motorbike near the Mae Wilai Market in central Pattaya, soliciting lewd services. He declined, but they snatched his pricey necklace and fled.
Police checked local CCTV cameras and identified the two suspects, who had been arrested before on similar charges, and tracked them to their hideout.
