Two transvestites were arrested for allegedly pickpocketing a German tourist.
Suratya Jiraya, 38 of Chiang Mai, and Sanya Niemthieng, 34 from Pichit, were picked up Aug. 7 near the Sawuey seafood restaurant on Second Road following a police complaint by Reimund Helmut Ulpts, 50.
Ulpts said he was walking when the two ladyboys approached him on a motorbike. They then gave him an unwanted hug after which he noticed his wallet had been lifted. The German called for help and the two suspects were corralled by passersby.
Police said both suspects have been arrested previously for both theft and drug use. They were jailed once again and likely be out of the street again in no time.
