Fourteen men watching a televised Muay Thai boxing match at a North Pattaya restaurant were arrested for allegedly gambling on the results.
A team of officers raided the unnamed eatery on North Road Soi 6 Aug. 14, capturing 14 but allowing 20 others to escape. Police seized the television, 100 baht in cash and three sheets of paper for recording bets.
Arrested were; Thongsamorn Thongsrila, 33; Praiwan Mahayotpanya, 45; Samakit Boonrot, 41; Boonsong Iammoni, 57; Somchai Khorsaen, 50; Sarawut Sasangbong, 30; Chaloey Klampot, 47; Suradet Mongpho, 46; Prayad Khuanpung, 52; Jinsamphan Chantamul, 25; Danai Jiama, 24; Pranom Kajsamak, 50; Sarawut Khunkamdee, 33; and Santi Yimgui, 33.
