More than 2,000 job seekers came out to explore new career options at a job fair held at Pattaya City Hall.
The annual May 24 fair featured about 50 government and private organizations, including hotels, companies and factories.
Booths were set up for interested workers to apply for jobs, many of which had openings for positions overseas.
Job seekers included not only the unemployed, but those looking to switch jobs or upgrade their skills.
Other activities included lectures and seminars offered by the Public Health Department that showed residents how to produce clean food and the Chalermprakiat Center demonstrated how to create products by hand. The Technical College of Pattaya offered instruction on how to create kitchen appliances from local materials and vocational training was available from the Social Development Department.
