Although there are no weekday public holidays coming up soon, Sunday October 29 is formally the end of Buddhist Lent. Being one Thailand’s major Buddhist festivals, alcohol sales are banned on Sunday for the whole 24 hours (midnight to midnight). Immigration opening times and those of other government departments are not affected.
