Banglamung police used a string of arrests to narrow their search for the Bangkok supplier of crystal methamphetamine and ketamine.
Chonburi resident Mrs. Kanuengnit “May” Johnstone, 37, was arrested June 14 with 1.4 grams of ya ice. Under interrogation, she ratted out her alleged supplier and participated in a sting operation to arrest Srongwut Tiensit, 23 of Banglamung, on South Road. A subsequent search of his Jinda Mansion apartment on Soi Kophai unearthed 38 ecstasy tablets and 2 bottles of ketamine.
Mrs. Kanuengnit Johnstone, Srongwut Tiensit, and Taweesak Sudpanya have been arrested on drugs charges.
Police said Srongwut confessed and claimed his supplier was Taweesak Sudpanya, 28 of Bangkok. Another undercover operation resulted in his arrest and the seizure of 180 bottles of ketamine.
Taweesak reportedly told police his supplier was a man named Tam in Bangkok, who authorities are still trying to locate.
