Three people died when a security company truck overturned in Nong Plalai, east Pattaya.
Driver Sarawut Huayyai, 33, Niti Phupanasang, 32, and Suppachai Khunto, 47, died at the scene of the Sept. 27 wreck on Highway 7. The Toyota Vigo appeared to lose control, crash through a barrier and overturn in a flood-drainage canal. The roof was torn off the truck and the windshield smashed. All three inside died of massive head trauma.
The truck, owned by Siam Administrative Management and Security Guards Co., was transporting a safe containing about 10 million baht. The armored safe transport was tossed from the truck and cracked. Police kept crowds back until the safe could be secured.
Police took the safe to the Mabprachan Highway Police Station and the security company was notified.
