3 Nongprue sites considered for community development projects

Nongprue and the Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration met to discuss community development and promote traditional tourism in the Pattaya area.

Deputy Mayor Suwat Rachathawattanakul chaired the Jan. 7 working committee meeting at the sub-district municipal office attended by local officials and members of the public interested in various projects related to community development.

The objective was to discuss attractive locations and how to develop them under the concept of traditional tourism. DASTA will take part in inspecting the proposed areas and will establish a budget for possible development and promotion.

The areas discussed included the mosque on Soi Nernplabwan, the Kong Jua classroom at Sawang Boriboon School and “Sticky Rice Road” on Soi Baan Lang-Nongsamoh.

Development will depend on cooperation received from locals and organizations involved. DASTA will share the results of its inspection at a Jan. 25 meeting at Nernplabwan School at 6 p.m. and the Municipal Office on Jan. 27 at 6 p.m.
