An East Pattaya man has been arrested for allegedly trying to rape a 16-year-old girl.
Teerasak Klaokliang, 29, was apprehended in the Suk Em housing development on Soi Khao Noi Nov. 7, approximately three kilometers from where he is accused to trying to rape a young acquaintance.
The girl told police she was waiting for a baht bus on Pattanakarn Road when Teerasak stopped and offered her a lift. She said she knew the man, so didn’t think anything of it until he drove to a secluded area and attacked her.
During the scuffle, the girl managed to escape while her attacker fled the scene. She called police and identified Teerasak as her assailant.
Teerasak denied the charges, saying the girl had given her consent.
