Leaders of four more Pattaya communities lined up to air grievances over messy utility lines, broken lights, litter and flooding at the latest at Center for Resolution of Complaints forum on improving living conditions.
Taking the podium at the June 30 meeting were representatives from the Kophai, Thappraya, Walking Street and Koh Larn communities. Deputy Mayor Verawat Khakhay and city councilmen Choosak Sriwatjanapong and Vichai Nongyai noted complaints from each group.

Each of four communities complained about unsightly and sometimes hazardous tangles of power, cable television and phone lines. Each also griped about insufficient numbers of garbage cans, inefficient trash pickup and litter problems caused by poor cleanup efforts by the city.
Walking Street leaders also called for more streetlights, repainted road lines, defined areas for motorbike parking and a crackdown on the number of advertising signs and posters.
The Thappraya Community wanted bent light poles righted and “no littering” signs installed near Pattaya School No. 8 while Kophai called for blocked drainage pipes to be cleaned.
On Koh Larn, complaints centered on parking scofflaws, particularly commercial van and bus operators.
